STARKVILLE, Miss. – For the third consecutive week, Valdosta State is the No. 1 team in the nation, according to the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 poll released by the Association on Wednesday

The Blazers (37-2) received 15 of 16 first-place votes this week,
with No. 2 Indianapolis (37-2) receiving the remaining vote.
The rest of the top five was also unchanged in the latest poll with
Winona State (32-3), Central Oklahoma (33-3) and Kutztown (36-1)
checking in at third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
The only team to fall from the rankings this was Augusta State
(28-12), which was ranked 19th in last week’s poll. Taking
the Jaguars’ place in this week’s edition was UC San
Diego (32-14), which returns to the poll at No. 23 after a one-week
absence.
The NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division
II head coaches, two representing each of the eight NCAA regions.
Current 2012 records are shown, first-place votes are in
parentheses.
