Ashland's Ramsey To Appear On ESPN

Ashland, Ohio -- Ashland University head women's basketball coach Sue Ramsey will appear on ESPN's "Outside the Lines," on Sunday, June 17.

Ramsey recently filmed a segment for the program dealing with Title IX, the history of women in college athletics and AU's 2011-12 season.  The Eagles were 33-2 this past season and advanced to the NCAA Division II title game.  Ashland ended the year ranked second in the nation. Ramsey was the NCAA Division II national coach of the year and the GLIAC coach of the year.  She is AU's career leader in wins and has guided the Eagles to three NCAA Division II postseason berths.  This past season the AU women won the first GLIAC basketball championship in school history.  The Eagles became the first school to go 19-0 in league play.

Before taking over at AU, Ramsey was the head coach at the University of Dayton. She was the first woman to receive a college basketball scholarship at the University of Indiana.

In addition to her coaching duties at AU, Ramsey is the school's Senior Women's Administrator and is an assistant director of athletics.
